CINEMANILA 2006 PREMIERES "CARE HOME"

CARE HOME, Nora Aunor’s first digital movie, will finally have its Philippine premiere when it gets to be exhibited as part of the Digital Panorama Section of the 8th Cinemanila International Film Festival to be held November 3 to 15 in selected theaters all over Metro Manila. The digital section of the festival is organized by the Independent Cinema Association of the Philippines and MovPix International.

CARE HOME is directed by Suzette Ranillo.

The one-time screening of CARE HOME in Cinemanila is set on Nov. 13, Monday, 7 pm at SM North Edsa.

CARE HOME, shot entirely in the US, was originally intended for television. It was premiered early this year in San Francisco, USA. In the movie, Nora plays Claudia, a Filipina caregiver who moved her mother (played by Ms. Gloria Sevilla) to the American care home where she works. Mother and daughter come to a critical crossroad in their relationship and made important decisions for their future. The movie also stars Ms. Divina Valencia. Introducing Germaine de Leon Padilla, a young Filipino actor who has appeared in a number of television shows in the US.

Care Home is currently making the rounds in key cities in the US and Europe.
